at his grave site in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery.

heritage groups, re-enactors, and attendees will leave the cemetery marching
down Main Street to Virginia Military Institute.
- 12 p.m. Memorial service honoring the 200th birthday of Robert E. Lee at Lee

Olympics Virginia Alpine Skiing Championships. The two-day competition,
consists of time trials on the first day and the final competition on the
second day. The opening ceremony kicks off the races on Monday and concludes
with a dinner and dance. |

Nelson County Christmas Parade. Get ready for the
holiday season by bringing your family to the annual Chamber of Commerce
Christmas Parade in the village of Lovingston. The parade features floats,
marching units, vehicles, animals and best of all Santa Claus. There are
also civic clubs and street vendors selling food and beverages. The parade
travels north through the village and ends at the old packing shed where
